Don't need it, I can get me an AVI file on dvd with a few programs either way.

What do you mean by a DVD release exactly?  Dvd rip or a file type specifically for dvd or something else I haven't thought of?

Depending on your DVD player you can or can't play MPEG and such files.

However, every DVD player should be able to play dvdr files.

They're asking if you'd like to obtain the file as a dvdr so that you don't have to go through the trouble of converting it if your dvd-player isn't ableto handle mpegs.

kk, that's what I thought, thanks for the clarification.  Of course I'm going to go with no, since I don't normally spend my time burning the anime to dvd, I buy a copy when the english release comes out.   Only burned 1 series to dvd ever and that was for a relative.

Yes, definitely - although I'd be happy with a traditional release if it means we get to see it sooner!

definitely yes - if the show ever gets licensed i be sure to buy them but i've converted the first series into a 6 disc set at one point cause i wanted to watch it on a dvd player - never got around to doing the other seasons the same way but i would love to have a dvd-r  version of the movie just cause - i'll have to free up space to download it if it gets released Smiley
