Maybe a good news ?

In this week Major chapter (manga of course) at the end they say that they'll make a huge annoucment next week.

is it season 6??? I dunno but I sure hope so.

So everyone be sure to check the website next week, we'll let you know as soon as we know ^^

I am thinking that it's either one of two things:

1. Season 6 announcement. (Something I really want)
2. Movie 2 announcement. (Something that I don't really have an opinion on one way or the other)

Is some scalation group doing the Major manga? Because I only found some chapters from the begining and some others a lot of volumes later

The news isn't going to be about any scanlation group. This news is coming from the Powers that Be (Mitsuda-sensei/Shonen Sunday) for the fans. They wouldn't announce something like that in Japan. It would go against everything they're doing.

I understand that, but the placing of the post from andpato seems out of place. Perhaps that particular post should be moved to a different area, more geared towards the manga as well as translation. Not that I am telling you how to do your job, I am just saying that the post isn't on-topic. It's more a general thing.

It will be interesting if there was a season 6. I'd imagine that there will be a time skip in the series if it does happen. I really like Major and hope for a season 6 if and only if they are able to pull it off. Quite honestly, the last season felt too much like an ending. It'll be hard to pick up from that exact moment in the series.

Not quite, there was a major hole that could be filled by more, it was at the very end of Episode 129, where Goro says I will be going... They may have wanted to end it there, but I think the fans in Japan of the series wanted more, so they probably changed their mind about ending the series on the whole. Besides, there wasn't really any word on whether the series as a whole was completely done. It was just speculation.

I certainly hope it's an announcement of Season 6 and NOT simply an announcement that the manga is ending or something like that!  Though I could live with the manga coming to an end if we get a 6th season out of it.  I would dearly love to see what's left of the manga animated!  It seems like it would be very easy to simply pick right up from where they left off and keep right on going.

It will the season will premiere on April 3, 2010!

Woo, I'm so excited for more Major!

And that will be about the time that Cross Game finishes up I would think, so it will be an easy transition from baseball to more baseball =)

Hope we see more Shimizu...

I think the sixth season will focus mostly on Goro and his Yips arc as well as how he and Murdoch butted heads when they first started playing together. There will most likely be little to no mention of anyone back in Japan, if there is, it'll most likely be Toshiya and maybe Shimizu, but don't count on that.
